Try Snowshoeing - Snowshoe rentals are available at our office - so you can easily explore the Sleeping Bear Dunes during winter. The National Lakeshore offers outstanding cross country skiing and snowshoeing opportunities. Pierce Stocking Scenic Drive offers views of Lake Michigan and the dunes. Winter is an excellent time to explore the Lakeshore see all the trails within 20 mi of our Motel. Ski trails are not groomed but are usually well tracked by previous skiers.

Snowmobile from our door to the trail
Convenient access to snowmobile trails with no need to trailer your equipment. Park your car and trailer on our property and ride your snowmobile to the trail right from your motel room door.

Four-Season Fishing
Which type of fishing is your favorite? Springtime brings hefty Steelhead beginning in Mid - February thru April, while summer provides plenty of Salmon, Walleye, Pike, Trout and panfish galore. Come fall, you'll find Brown Trout and King Salmon making their annual runs in the Platte and Betsie Rivers, while winter means excellent ice fishing opportunities on the inland lakes. Benzie County's 2017 Winter Fest
This fun event has something for everyone! A great way to enjoy some of the wintertime activities of Benzie County. Pancake breakfast, ice fishing contest, snowmobile poker run or how about a horse drawn hay ride. A frozen fish toss and frozen turkey bowling on Crystal Lake? A Winterfest Parade with local business, civic organizations and local fire and police departments participating. Also Fireworks over Crystal Lake with a good old fashioned bonfire. Plan on attending this fun Winter event!
